The Houthis say they targeted Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport in Asir province in the latest strike on civilian aviation facilities.
The ballistic missile “was precise and direct … resulting in the disruption of air traffic at the airport”, military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a statement on X.
“We reiterate our warning to all global airlines regarding the consequences of continuing to operate their flights in Saudi airspace, as it has become a theatre for our military operations,” he added.
There was no immediate confirmation from Riyadh.
The latest strike follows Monday night’s attacks on airports in Jazan and Najran with several injuries and damage reported.
