The Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, accompanied by the Chairman of the First Instance Court of the Armed Forces, Colonel Hassan Ali Nur Shuute, on Tuesday presided over the graduation ceremony of a new group of Danab Special Forces personnel at the Balli-doogle military base in the Lower Shabelle region.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the U.S. Balli-doogle Base, AOB Commander BMA Major Robert Zimmerman, alongside senior military officers and officials.
Addressing the graduating troops, Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud congratulated the soldiers on completing their training and urged them to uphold discipline, professionalism, and dedication in carrying out their national duties.
The training forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity and professional capabilities of the Somali National Army, particularly the Danab Special Forces, which play a leading role in operations against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
