The Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia, during its regular meeting, approved the extension of the term for the National Disability Agency Board for an additional four years. This decision ensures the board can continue carrying out its mandated responsibilities effectively.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, also approved the Inclusive Digital Policy and the National E-Governance Strategy aimed at advancing Somalia’s digital transformation and enhancing government efficiency.
Additionally, the session included key updates on the country’s security situation, progress reports on Vice Prime Minister-led inspections of government ministries and agencies, and an overview of Somalia’s economic status.
This move reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening governance, inclusivity, and digital innovation while addressing the nation’s socio-economic priorities.
