Director General of Somalia’s Ministry of Information Participates in High-Level Conference in Abu Dhabi.

The Director General of Somalia’s Ministry of Information, Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Duale, attended the Standing Committee of the Arab Ministers of Information conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The high-profile event brought together key figures to address pressing issues, including the violations against Palestinians and the role of Arab media in responding to these challenges.

The conference, which concluded today, focused on fostering cooperation among Arab countries to tackle violations against Palestinian brothers, highlighting the importance of solidarity in media responses. Discussions were also held on developing a cutting-edge social media platform for Arab countries, ensuring compatibility with the latest technologies, and enhancing collective efforts to combat terrorism and other critical issues.

Under the auspices of the Council of Ministers of Information of the Arab League, the committee made a significant decision to designate Kuwait City as the Arab Media Capital for the year 2025, recognizing its pivotal role in the region’s media landscape.

Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Duale’s participation shows Somalia’s commitment to engaging in regional dialogues and strengthening media cooperation with fellow Arab nations.
