The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), attended the opening of the 2026 International Forum on Public Security Cooperation in Lianyungang, China.
The forum brings together more than 2,100 participants from 139 countries, regions and international organizations to strengthen security cooperation and promote joint responses to cross-border security threats.
The agenda includes discussions on combating terrorism and organized crime, cybercrime, drug-related crimes, migration security, and the use of modern technologies in strengthening public security.
Somalia’s participation highlights its commitment to expanding international security cooperation, exchanging expertise and developing modern approaches to preventing organized crime and addressing emerging cross-border security threats.
