The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, accompanied by the Minister of Defence and the Commander of the Somali National Army, attended a ceremony marking the completion of training for units of the Somali National Army, particularly the 16th Danab Commando Brigade.
During the closing ceremony, the troops conducted military drills and demonstrations showcasing their training, readiness and operational capabilities.
The officials received briefings on the training and its outcomes, while the troops demonstrated the skills and knowledge they acquired during the programme.
H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre commended the soldiers for their efforts and sacrifices, urging them to effectively fulfil their national duties and protect the country and the Somali people.
The ceremony forms part of efforts to enhance the capabilities, readiness and operational capacity of the Somali National Army in defence of the country.
