The Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, paid a working visit to the General Gordon Training School, where units of the Somali National Army’s Special Forces are currently undergoing intensive military training.
The Army Commander was received by the Commander of the Special Forces, Major General Adan Mohamed Omar (Adan Dheere), who briefed him on the overall situation at the training school and the progress of the ongoing training programs.
The visit aimed to assess the quality of the training, strengthen the operational readiness of the troops, and boost the morale of the soldiers. Major General Ibrahim commended the personnel for their dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to defending Somalia’s sovereignty and national security.
During the inspection, the Army Commander also met with senior officers and instructors responsible for delivering specialized military training. He praised their professionalism and their vital role in enhancing the capabilities and discipline of the Somali National Army.
As part of the visit, the trainees showcased military drills and tactical demonstrations, reflecting the high standards and skills they have acquired through the training program.
Concluding the visit, Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud expressed his appreciation to the officers and instructors for their outstanding service, applauding their continued efforts to strengthen the knowledge, discipline, and professionalism of the Somali National Army.
