Defence Minister visits IMCTC Headquarters in Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today visited the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), where he was received by the Secretary General, Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi.

The meeting focused on countering extremist ideology, eradicating terrorism, and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two sides.

The Minister was accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Somali Embassy in Riyadh, H.E. Abdulaziz Abdirahman Hassan, the IMCTC Representative to Somalia, Brigadier General Abdirahman Turyare, along with officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Somali Embassy.

The Federal Republic of Somalia was among the founding member states of the IMCTC, underscoring Somalia’s active role in global efforts to combat terrorism.
