Somali Army Chief Meets U.S. Defense Official to Boost Security Cooperation.

The Chief of the Somali National Army (SNA), Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, held an important meeting with the U.S. Embassy’s Defense Attaché to Somalia, Colonel Wills, to discuss strengthening security cooperation.

The meeting focused on enhancing joint efforts in the fight against terrorism, as well as combating piracy and other security threats facing the country.

During the talks, Major General Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the U.S. government and military for their continued support to the Somali National Army, commending their commitment to assisting Somalia in eliminating terrorist groups and improving national security.

Officials said the meeting underscores the strong partnership between Somalia and the United States in promoting stability and security across the region.
