A small group of protesters holding Palestinian flags interrupted Trump while he was dining at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, a restaurant near the White House, along with members of his cabinet.
A video shared online by the activist group Codepink shows people chanting, “Free DC! Free Palestine! Trump is the Hitler of our time!”.
The slogans refer to the US president’s deployment of troops to Washington, DC, as well as his support for Israel’s war on Gaza.
Trump had chosen to dine at the restaurant to illustrate how his federal crackdown in the US capital has helped local businesses.
