Somali Parliament Approves Independent Electoral Commission to Strengthen Democracy.

In a landmark decision, Somalia’s Federal Parliament on Wednesday approved the establishment of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, a constitutional body aimed at ensuring transparent and credible electoral processes across the nation.

The newly formed commission will oversee elections at all levels of government, playing a pivotal role in Somalia’s ongoing efforts to implement One-Person One-Vote elections nationwide.
